表面の説明	Enthroned frontal effigy of Saint Ermengol (Sant Ermengau), Bishop of Urgell, depicted in full pontifical vestments including mitre and cope, raising his right hand in blessing and holding a crozier in his left. A nimbus surrounds the bishop's head, emphasizing his saintly status. To the lower left of the throne, a small architectural vignette with water alludes to the legend of the saint's death at a bridge. A floral spray appears to the lower right of the figure. The circular Latin legend SANCTVS ERMENGARDVS D M EPS VRGELLENSIS runs along the periphery, separated from the central design by a beaded border, with the engraver's name TERUGGI also present in the field.

追加情報	Andorra had no official coinage of its own until 1976, when the General Council authorized the first national issues — largely as collector pieces, since French francs and Spanish pesetas handled everyday transactions. The Sobirana series was conceived partly to assert a distinct national identity at a moment when Andorra was quietly modernizing its medieval co-principality structure ahead of formal constitutional reform. Saint Ermengol, the 11th-century Bishop of Urgell credited with building bridges across the Valira river, was a natural choice for a fledgling monetary program that needed locally resonant iconography. Fr#1 — the first Frey-listed Andorran gold coin.
