| Obverse description | Central design features a tall palm tree flanked by two llamas couchant at its base, all set within a beaded inner circle. Five five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc above the palm tree. The surrounding legend reads REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA in the upper arc, with the mint mark Z, date 1855, and denomination 1S appearing in the lower exergual area, separated by pellets. The overall composition reflects the classical Bolivian republican coinage style of the mid-nineteenth century. |
