A central guilloche panel bears the text VALE UN SUCRE in bold letterpress. To the left, a detailed heraldic vignette shows the coat of arms of the City of London flanked by dragons, with the motto DOMINE DIRIGE NOS on a ribbon below. To the right, a circular vignette presents the coat of arms of Ecuador surmounted by a condor. The denomination UN SUCRE appears in large open letters along the lower margin, with the place of issue Quito and spaces for date and authorising signatures below the central panel.
