| Obverse description | Printed in black intaglio on white paper with a fine guilloche underprint, the obverse presents an oval portrait vignette of Antonio José de Sucre in military uniform at the left. The bank title BANCO INTERNACIONAL appears in large bold lettering, with the denomination UN SUCRE inscribed within a central cartouche and the Ecuadorian coat of arms at the upper right.
