| 备注 |
Banco del Pichincha was founded in Quito in 1906 and became one of the regional banks authorized to issue private banknotes under Ecuador's pluralist banking system — a framework that persisted until the Banco Central del Ecuador was established in 1927 and gradually absorbed note-issuing rights. This note predates that consolidation by over a decade, placing it squarely in the period of competitive private emission.
The American Bank Note Company's New York facility handled the printing, as it did for a substantial portion of Latin American private bank paper during this period. ABNC's contracts with Ecuadorian regional banks were numerous enough that plate designs were sometimes shared or adapted across issuers, worth checking against related Pichincha series when attributing any variant.
