The wheel-and-anchor bronzes attributed to uncertain Etruscan production represent one of the more debated chapters in pre-Roman Italian numismatics. Scholars have argued over attribution for decades — Etruria is the consensus, but no mint site has been confirmed archaeologically, and the anchor type in particular appears in hoards scattered across a wide enough geographic range to complicate any single-city attribution.
