The LSSDB "Topaz" is a Ukrainian defense electronics enterprise — its pivot into local brass coinage tokens reflects the broader proliferation of non-state scrip and loyalty currency that emerged across post-Soviet Ukrainian cities during the late 2010s, when municipal and private issuers filled gaps left by small-denomination coin shortages.
