| 正面描述 | Central vignette of a dove in flight carrying an olive branch, set against an underprint map of Sierra Leone with place names. To the right, a vignette of the national flag unfurled over a multicolour guilloche rosette bearing the BSL monogram and the numeral 10000 in optically variable ink. A colour-shifting numeral 10000 in the lower left serves as an additional security element, with two facsimile signatures of the Governor and Deputy Governor below the flag vignette. The date of issue appears at lower centre-left. |

| 备注 |
Thomas De La Rue printed this note during a period when Sierra Leone's leone had shed four zeros through the 2004 redenomination — itself a response to inflation that had reduced the original currency to near-worthlessness following years of civil conflict and economic collapse. The 10,000 leone denomination, unthinkable before the redenomination, became routine within a few years of the new series entering circulation.
The print run of just over 12 million is modest by West African standards, suggesting the denomination was treated as a high-value reserve note rather than everyday tender.
