Transnistria's breakaway administration issued this note following the 1992 armed conflict with Moldova, during a period when the unrecognized republic was building parallel institutions almost from scratch. The 10,000 rouble denomination reflects the severe inflation that swept through the former Soviet monetary zone in the early 1990s — a problem Transnistria shared with its neighbors but could not address through conventional central banking channels, given its contested status.
The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field almost certainly refers to a plate or series code rather than an actual press date — 1945 predates Transnistria's existence by nearly five decades.
