The Caribbean guilder replaced the Netherlands Antillean guilder on 1 March 2025, becoming the shared currency of Curaçao and Sint Maarten following years of delayed implementation — the original target date had been set for 2012. Crane Currency's Malta facility, formerly De La Rue Currency, handled production after Crane acquired that operation in 2018.

The TBB reference places this among the earliest catalogued issues for the new currency.
