North Korea issued a parallel coinage system in 1959 specifically for foreign visitors — a hard-currency segregation scheme designed to prevent capitalist money from entering domestic circulation while still extracting it from tourists and trade delegations. The "capitalist visitor" designation is not a collector's nickname; it appears in the official classification, distinguishing these pieces from the companion series issued for socialist-bloc visitors and for domestic use. Three distinct populations, three coin sets, same denominations.
KM#7 is the rarest of the three 10 Chon types from this issue year.
