Obverse description Portrait of King Faisal I in a suit and tie at right, set within a detailed border of guilloche scrollwork in violet-purple tones. Arabic inscriptions occupy the centre panel, including the denomination and legal text, with the numeral 10 repeated at upper left and lower left within ornamental frames. A blank oval space at centre left is reserved for the watermark area, and the serial number appears at upper right and lower centre.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in violet-purple intaglio on a light guilloche underprint. Two large diamond-shaped vignettes flank the centre, each bearing the numeral 10 with the word DINARS below. The central panel carries the bold English inscriptions stating the denomination and legal provisions, with the date BAGHDAD, 1st July, 1931. Three facsimile signatures appear below for the Iraq Currency Board.
