Jordan's Central Bank has maintained an unusually long relationship with Thomas De La Rue, and this series reflects that continuity — the print quality is consistent with De La Rue's high-specification work of the late 1990s, a period when the firm was also producing notes for several Gulf states simultaneously. The 10 Dinar denomination sat at a meaningful value in everyday Jordanian commerce during this window, roughly equivalent to two or three days' wages for many workers.

The watermark security on P#31 is comparatively modest by the standards of what De La Rue was capable of at the time — later Jordanian issues added security threads and color-shifting ink. This series was superseded in stages rather than withdrawn all at once.
