| Reverse description | Central field features a large domed gilt plateau with an exceptionally high-relief depiction of two American Bald Eagles rendered in the style of the American Gold Eagle reverse design (1986), shown perched together with wings partially spread, in a naturalistic and sculptural composition. The legend 'GOLD EAGLE' appears in the lower arc of the central plateau, with the date '1986' inscribed above. Surrounding the central plateau, the field displays a series of high-relief intaglio eagle motifs representing iconic American coin reverse designs from 1794 to 2021, each labeled with its type name and corresponding date, including the First Eagle (1794), Morgan Dollar (1878), Indian Head (1907), St. Gaudens Double Eagle (1907), Walking Eagle (1916), Peace Dollar (1921), Kennedy Half Dollar (1964), Eisenhower Dollar (1971), Heraldic Eagle (1986), and Silver Eagle (2021). Stars are dispersed throughout the outer border field, unifying the design. The overall reverse is a panoramic tribute to the eagle motif across American numismatic history. |

The Plateau Eagle is part of Barbados's ongoing large-format bullion and collector series administered through the Central Bank, which has increasingly used oversized silver formats to compete in the numismatic souvenir market dominated by Perth Mint and Royal Canadian Mint issues. At 311 grams and 120 millimeters, this sits at the upper boundary of what standard coin presses can produce without specialized tooling — a practical ceiling that several smaller issuing authorities have bumped against in recent years.
