Aanvullende informatie

Barbados has issued gold bullion coinage sporadically since the 1970s, but the seahorse motif has become the most commercially successful of the modern series, driven largely by demand from Asian bullion markets where the animal carries strong cultural associations with luck and prosperity. The 2021 issue was produced by the Pobjoy Mint under license — a UK-based private mint responsible for a significant portion of Caribbean sovereign coinage since the 1970s.
