附加信息	Nauru's coinage program has long been managed by external mints producing collector issues with little connection to the island's own economic history. The Greif was a German auxiliary cruiser — officially a converted freighter — that conducted a notable raiding voyage in 1916 before being intercepted and sunk by British forces in the North Sea during a single engagement in which both ships were destroyed. Nauru itself was a German protectorate until Australian forces occupied it in 1914, which gives the subject at least a tangential colonial connection to the issuing territory.
