| 备注 |
Burundi gained independence in 1962 and established its own central bank shortly thereafter, replacing the currency infrastructure inherited from the Belgian colonial administration. Thomas De La Rue handled the early printing contracts for the République series, a common arrangement for newly independent Francophone African states that lacked domestic printing capacity.
The P#20 series ran across a three-year window with relatively low face value, meaning heavy handling and rapid wear were typical — high-grade survivors from this issue are proportionally uncommon given the denomination's daily utility.
