| Obverse description | Three giant eland heads (Taurotragus derbianus) in high relief, facing left and arranged in overlapping profile across the field, their long spiral horns extending prominently toward the upper portion of the coin. The circular legend AFRIQUE EQUATORIALE FRANÇAISE and INSTITUT D'EMISSION runs along the upper periphery, while the date 1958 and the territorial name CAMEROUN appear in the lower field. The engraver's signature G.B. L. BAZOR is incused to the right of the central design. |
