| Opmerkingen |
Suriname gained independence from the Netherlands in 1975, but the Centrale Bank van Suriname continued sourcing its notes from Enschedé in Haarlem well into the 1980s — a practical continuity that reflected both the established printing relationship and the absence of a domestic security printing facility. By 1982, the country was already experiencing the economic turbulence that would accelerate sharply after Dési Bouterse's military coup of 1980, and inflationary pressure would eventually push this denomination toward irrelevance within a decade.
