The issuer's name 'Gemeinde Altaist' is set in large Gothic blackletter script at the top. Below, a bilingual text block in German states the purpose of the emergency currency voucher, flanked by a central oval official stamp reading 'Gemeindeamt Altaist / polit. Bezirk Pere / OB.-ÖST.' Three manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion, identified by their titles as Bürgermeister, I. Vizebürgermeister, and II. Vizebürgermeister.
