The left two-thirds carry the large Gothic denomination legend "ZEHN KARBOWANEZ" above an issue clause in German, the place and date of issue "ROWNO, den 10. März 1942", the bank name "ZENTRALNOTENBANK UKRAINE", and a manuscript signature accompanied by an official circular stamp bearing the Nazi eagle. To the right, an intaglio vignette within a ruled frame presents a portrait of a young Ukrainian woman in a traditional headscarf, with the numeral "10" repeated in each corner. |

| Description du revers | Printed entirely in dark brown on a pale ground, the reverse displays a dense guilloche border enclosing the central design. At the top, the bank name "ZENTRALNOTENBANK UKRAINE" flanked by the numeral "10" is followed by the German denomination "ZEHN KARBOWANEZ". A large ornate numeral "10" occupies the centre, with anti-counterfeiting warnings in German ("GELDFÄLSCHUNG WIRD MIT ZUCHTHAUS BESTRAFT") to the left and in Ukrainian ("ФАЛЬШУВАННЯ ГРОШЕВИХ ЗНАКІВ КАРАЄТЬСЯ ТЯЖКОЮ ТЮРМОЮ") to the right.
