A central vignette presents a spread eagle perched above crossed tools and a banner scroll inscribed INLÖSER VID ANFORDRAN DENNA SEDEL MED, framed by guilloche borders incorporating the denomination TIO KRONOR in large type. The denomination TIO and the word KRONOR are repeated symmetrically within the guilloche frame at top, bottom, and both lateral panels. The composition is entirely typographic and engraved, with no pictorial vignette, giving the design a restrained, formal character. |

Wermlands Enskilda Bank was one of Sweden's provincial private banks operating under the 1824 and later 1846 enskilda bank legislation, which permitted note issuance against a declared capital reserve. By 1875 the system was already under pressure — the Riksbank was steadily consolidating note-issuing authority, and most enskilda banks lost their right to issue new notes entirely after the 1897 Riksbank Act. This note was printed in Carlstad (modern Karlstad), the regional capital of Värmland, making it one of the relatively few Swedish provincial issues produced domestically rather than abroad.
