| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central vignette presents a large-format engraved industrial scene of an open-cut quarry or mining excavation, with a steam-powered excavator loading rock into railway wagons in the foreground; a winding rail track recedes toward the background where additional rolling stock is visible against rocky terrain. Denomination numerals 10 in guilloche cartouches flank the vignette at left and right, overlaid on decorative rosette underprints in pink. The legend ZECE LEI appears in a ruled cartouche at the base of the design. |

| Opmerkingen |
The 1952 Romanian monetary reform was one of the more punishing currency conversions in postwar Eastern Europe. Exchange rates were applied on a sliding scale based on the size of holdings — those with larger reserves received progressively worse terms — an explicit instrument of wealth redistribution that wiped out middle-class savings accumulated across the war years.
The printing date of 30 April 1945 embedded in the plate predates the issuing authority by several years, a artifact of how the notes were stockpiled and held back well before the formal reform. Pick 88 is the 10 Lei denomination from that 1952 emission.
