The absence of a "SERİ" prefix on earlier impressions of this type reflects a transitional moment in the Central Bank's serial numbering conventions during the late 1950s and early 1960s — the prefix was added in subsequent printings, making the distinction a reliable dating marker within the series rather than an error. The red reverse is similarly a short-lived choice; later issues of the same denomination shifted palette, which is why collectors treat the two as distinct varieties despite identical face designs.

Printed entirely in-house in Ankara, this note predates the Bank's later reliance on foreign security printers.
