| 背面描述 | A detailed intaglio vignette of the Tekkiye Suleimaniye mosque complex in Damascus fills the central panel, with the city's hillside visible in the background. The denomination '10 LIVRES' appears in the upper left and lower right corners, framing the scene. Cypress tree motifs flank the vignette on both sides, and the inscription 'PREMIÈRE ÉMISSION' appears below the central image. |

| 备注 |
The Institut d'Emission de Syrie was a short-lived authority, operating only during the transitional years following French Mandatory control. By 1950, Syria had been formally independent for four years, but the currency infrastructure lagged behind the political reality — this note was issued under an institution whose very name still carried the imprint of the Mandate-era Banque de Syrie et du Liban arrangement it was designed to replace.
Bradbury Wilkinson handled a significant portion of post-colonial currency printing for newly independent states in this period, and Syria was among their clients through the early 1950s before the country moved toward its own central bank apparatus, established in 1956.
