| Obverse description | The central vignette is dominated by the Polish White Eagle with crown on a red oval shield, rendered in fine intaglio engraving against an ornate scrollwork frame. The denomination numeral '10' appears in decorative cartouches at upper left and right, with the title 'MAREK POLSKICH' in bold letterpress across the top. Two columns of text flank the central design: the left column carries the German Empire's guarantee of redemption text signed by the General-Governor of Warsaw dated 9 December 1916, while the right column contains the counterfeiting warning; the year '1917' appears at the foot of the note. |
