Köyliö was a Finnish prisoner of war camp holding Soviet captives during the Continuation War. Finnish PoW camps issued internal scrip to control purchasing within camp canteens and prevent hoarding of Finnish currency — a practical administrative measure, not a formal monetary instrument. The Camif reference corpus documents relatively few Finnish PoW issues, and the Köyliö series is among the lesser-documented, with surviving pieces thin on the ground given the obviously limited production runs and the destruction of camp records after the war ended in 1944.
