| Obverse description | Central field features the elaborate tughra (imperial cipher) of Sultan Mahmud II enclosed within a pointed oval cartouche. The tughra, rendered in the traditional Ottoman calligraphic style, displays the characteristic interlaced loops and upward strokes above a foliate base element. The design is surrounded by a beaded inner border, with an additional decorative rope or pellet border running along the coin's irregular periphery. |
