| Obverse description | At center, the Cuban national arms are depicted within a circular frame, flanked by the arms of the eight other participating nations of the 7th Ibero-American Series — Argentina, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, and Portugal — arranged around the periphery. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs above the central shield, while LEY .925 and 27 GRS appear on either side, and the face value 10 PESOS is inscribed below within the inner circle. Each surrounding national coat of arms is accompanied by its respective country's identifying inscription or motto, including PLUS ULTRA for Spain and LIBERTAD 15 de SEPTIEMBRE de 1821 for Guatemala. The overall composition follows a heraldic, multi-national format consistent with the Ibero-American commemorative coin series. |
