| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a scenic composition evoking the landscape and cultural heritage of the State of Sonora, depicted within a frosted central field contrasting against the mirrored border. At left, a stylized figure of a Yaqui deer dancer in traditional ceremonial attire stands in profile, while at right a tall saguaro cactus and rounded desert rock formations represent the characteristic Sonoran desert environment. A dotted inner border frames the central device throughout the circumference. The curved legend ESTADO DE SONORA arcs along the upper periphery, the date 2007 appears at the left, the mint mark Mo at the right, and the denomination $10 is inscribed along the lower border. |

This piece belongs to the long-running series commemorating Mexican states, a program Banco de México launched in 2003 and ran through 2012, issuing two silver proof coins per state — one featuring pre-Hispanic imagery and one colonial-era. Sonora's entries draw from a region whose silver mining history around Álamos and Minas Nuevas was extensive enough that the state supplied significant bullion to the colonial treasury in Guadalajara.
KM#841 specifically corresponds to the pre-Hispanic issue for Sonora.
