Obverse description The obverse is printed in blue-green and yellow-green, with a central circular vignette of the Temple of Philae set within an elaborate wreath of laurel branches against a guilloche underprint. Arabic inscriptions in a decorative band run across the top, with the denomination numeral repeated in large format at lower left and right as underprint elements; the serial number and a manuscript signature above the Arabic title of Minister of Finance appear at centre-left.

Reverse description The reverse is bicolour in green and red, with a large central oval guilloche medallion surrounded by intricate floral and foliate scrollwork in red forming a rosette underprint. A decorative Arabic inscription band spans the top, flanked by heraldic supporters at each corner. The denomination '10 PIASTRES' appears in ornate cartouches at lower left and right, with the legend 'EGYPTIAN CURRENCY NOTE' in a banner along the lower edge; 'ISSUED UNDER LAW No. 50/1940' is inscribed to the right, and a manuscript signature with the title 'MINISTER OF FINANCE' appears at lower left.
