A decorative Arabic inscription band spans the top, flanked by heraldic supporters at each corner. The denomination '10 PIASTRES' appears in ornate cartouches at lower left and right, with the legend 'EGYPTIAN CURRENCY NOTE' in a banner along the lower edge; 'ISSUED UNDER LAW No. 50/1940' is inscribed to the right, and a manuscript signature with the title 'MINISTER OF FINANCE' appears at lower left.
