Indico Kitchen and Bar issued this piece as a promotional or in-house spending token rather than any form of regulated currency — no central bank, no legal tender status, no monetary authority behind it. These restaurant and bar scrip notes became a minor novelty in the UK hospitality trade during the 2010s, typically used as gift vouchers or loyalty instruments printed to resemble banknotes.
Collectible mainly as ephemera. Secondary market interest is thin and entirely local.
