| 备注 |
The pula was introduced in 1976 when Botswana severed its monetary link with the South African rand, and De La Rue has printed the country's notes since the beginning of that independent currency. This P#24 series ran for five years before being replaced by a redesigned issue, a relatively short production window that limits the quantity in collector circulation today.
The optical device security feature — unusual for a note of this denomination in African issues of the period — reflects De La Rue's push in the early 2000s to introduce higher-grade anti-counterfeiting technology into mid-value denominations, not just flagship high-denomination notes.
