| Obverse description | The national arms of the Yemen Arab Republic — an eagle with spread wings above a ribbon — appear at left within an ornate guilloche border. Arabic inscriptions occupy the central field, including the denomination عشرة ريال (Ten Rials) in large script, with authority and issuing legends below. The serial number appears twice, in the upper right and lower left corners, against a multicoloured underprint of fine latticework and rosette patterns. |
