Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse repeats the overall red and pink colour scheme on a wavy-line guilloche ground. The central geometric ornamental device, inspired by traditional Latvian decorative motifs, is rendered without the serial number or signature lines present on the obverse; the large numeral '10' in outline figures occupies the centre of the device, flanked by the legend 'DESMIT LATVIJAS RUBĻU'. A smaller red numeral '10' is placed at upper left and another at lower right, providing corner denomination indicators against the plain guilloche background.

Opmerkingen

Latvia's first post-Soviet currency series, of which this is a part, was introduced following the restoration of independence and the phased withdrawal of Soviet rubles — a process managed through an interim currency, the Latvian ruble, before the lats was fully reinstated. This 10 rubļu belongs to that transitional rubļi period, which lasted only from 1992 into 1993 before the lats returned at a fixed rate of 200 rubļi to 1 lats, rendering the entire series obsolete within roughly a year of issue.

Giesecke & Devrient handled production, as they did for much of the series. The brevity of circulation means genuinely used examples are less common than one might expect for a low denomination.
