| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of King George V in uniform within an oval guilloche frame at right; the Mauritius coat of arms with motto STELLA CLAVISQUE MARIS INDICI at centre, flanked by an oval guilloche vignette reserved for the watermark at left. The denomination TEN RUPEES appears in a bold cartouche at centre, rendered additionally in Tamil and Hindi scripts below. A fine geometric guilloche underprint in green and pink covers the entire field, with the issuer's title arched in decorative letterpress across the top. |
