| 备注 |
In the immediate aftermath of Indonesian independence, the Dutch blockade made it impossible to supply a unified currency across the archipelago. Regional authorities were authorized to issue their own emergency notes, and Djambi — a residency on the eastern coast of Sumatra — produced this 10 Rupiah under that framework. Bukittinggi served as the administrative and printing center for much of Republican Sumatra during this period, coordinating these provincial emissions.
The Djambi series is among the more obscure of the Sumatran regional issues, with limited surviving quantities that reflect both small print runs and the chaos of the independence struggle against Dutch forces.
