Opmerkingen

Fiji retained the pound sterling system through this entire series, with the Government — not a central bank — acting as sole currency authority until the Reserve Bank of Fiji was established in 1984. The three-signature format across all dates reflects the Colonial Treasury's internal controls: typically a Treasurer, an Auditor, and a Financial Secretary or equivalent, though exact role assignments shifted with personnel changes.

The wartime dates are the ones worth watching. The 01.07.1943 date falls during Japanese advance in the Pacific, when Fiji served as a critical Allied staging base; currency held in circulation there faced unusual handling conditions. The 1937 signature combinations are the scarcest — only two date points in the first two years before the Robertson-era signatures took over for most of the 1940s.
