| Aanvullende informatie |
Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 but remains unrecognized by any UN member state, making its coinage a legal curiosity — technically issued by a central bank of a government that does not officially exist in international law. The Bank of Somaliland has nonetheless issued a consistent series of circulating bimetallic coins, and this piece entered circulation as the republic was quietly expanding its domestic financial infrastructure despite the absence of foreign recognition.
The "Full leaves" designation distinguishes this from a known die variant with incomplete leaf detail — a distinction that matters to type collectors working the series.
