Beschrijving voorzijde The left portion carries the Croatian national coat of arms in full colour at upper left, with a serial number in red below it, a monogram with year date, and a denomination panel at lower left showing the numeral 10 on a blue field with a ring of stars reminiscent of a European flag motif, all against a lavender and pink blended underprint. The right portion is dominated by a photographic vignette of a male figure dressed in a theatrical dark red coat and tall red top hat, holding a cane, set against a painterly pink and mauve background wash. Inscriptions in calligraphic and gothic lettering appear at upper centre and right, with a descriptive text panel in cursive script and the slogan "NIŠTA KONTRA SPLITA" in large display type across the centre.

Beschrijving keerzijde The left portion is occupied by a large photographic vignette of a male figure in a brown leather jacket leaning casually on a hand drum, set against a soft purple and pink painterly background with scattered red dot accents. The right portion presents a vignette of a stylised architectural composition — a domed cathedral flanked by towers — surmounted by the Croatian chequerboard shield at left and a second heraldic shield at right, all enclosed within a dotted rectangular border, above the inscription "GRAD SPLIT". Below this, a denomination panel shows the numeral 10 on a blue star-ringed field above the currency name "ŠOLDA".

Opmerkingen

The 10 Šolda is a locally issued emergency scrip from Split, produced by the city as a promotional and semi-functional alternative currency tied to regional identity. The šolda is an old Dalmatian unit of account derived from the Italian soldo, historically used along the eastern Adriatic coast during Venetian administration — the name alone is a deliberate nod to that heritage.

Paper composition on these issues can lead to rapid deterioration under heavy handling, though circulation was always limited by design.
