Opmerkingen

Mongolia's 1966 series was the second full redesign issued under the Mongolian People's Republic, replacing the 1955 notes that had themselves replaced the post-war 1941 issue. The State Bank — Mongol Ardyn Bügd Nairamdakh Ulsyn Töröt Bank — operated under direct Soviet economic supervision throughout this period, and the note's design and production arrangements reflected that dependency, though attribution of the actual printing to a specific press remains contested among specialists.

The series ran for fifteen years without modification, an unusually long lifespan for a Soviet-aligned state bank issue.
