| 裏面の説明 | The denomination is displayed prominently within a recessed square rotated 45 degrees to form a star-shaped geometric frame, rendered in a traditional Kazakh ornamental style with stepped angular borders and decorative corner motifs. The numeral '10' appears in large characters in the upper portion of the central square, with the Cyrillic denomination ТИЫН inscribed below it. The mint mark ҚҰБ (National Bank of Kazakhstan) is positioned to the right of the numeral, while the date 1993 is split across the lower field with '19' to the left and '93' to the right of the central design. |

Kazakhstan's first national coinage was issued in November 1993, days after the tenge replaced the Soviet ruble at a rate of 500 rubles to one tenge. The transition was executed with deliberate speed — the government gave citizens only a narrow window to exchange old currency, effectively freezing out speculators and black-market ruble stockpiles. These earliest tyin coins were produced under contract by foreign mints before domestic striking capacity was established.
