Obverse description Central depiction of Namdaemun (Sungnyemun), the historic South Gate of Seoul, rendered in detailed relief showing the two-tiered pavilion roof with characteristic bracketing and the arched stone gateway below. The Hangul denomination '십원' (ten won) appears prominently in the upper field above the gate.
