| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a landscape vignette of rugged mountain peaks rendered in an ink-wash style occupying the right half of the note, evoking the aesthetic of traditional Chinese painting. At centre, a large numeral '10' appears above a decorative guilloche cartouche bearing the Chinese characters 拾圓 and overlaid with a golden rose vignette in multicolour underprint.
