Opmerkingen

Training notes issued to bank tellers in the People's Republic of China occupy an odd position in the catalog — they are genuine printed documents produced under state authority, but explicitly demonetized from the outset. This 1998 piece replicates the fourth-series 10 Yuan in overall format but carries overprinting or modified text marking it as a practice instrument, intended for counter training rather than any transactional use.

Collector interest in PRC teller training notes has grown steadily since the late 2000s, partly because many were destroyed through routine institutional disposal. Survivors tend to come from teller staff who quietly retained them after training sessions ended.
