备注

Banco de Angola was established by Portuguese colonial decree in 1926, replacing the Banco Nacional Ultramarino as the sole note-issuing authority in Angola. This 100 Angolares belongs to the bank's inaugural series — the first notes issued under its own name rather than through a Lisbon-based overseas institution. De La Rue's involvement was the default choice for Portuguese colonial currency at this period; the same London firm handled much of Portugal's own domestic production.

The angolar itself was a new unit, introduced to replace the older réis-based system at a rate of 100 réis to the centavo. A clean decimal reset for a colonial economy the Salazar-era administration was just beginning to reorganize.
