背面描述 Green and multicolor guilloche underprint surrounds a centrally placed vignette of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Nicaragua — an equilateral triangle enclosing a landscape with five volcanoes and a rising sun, set within a circular band inscribed REPÚBLICA DE NICARAGUA and AMERICA CENTRAL. Denomination numerals 100 appear in each corner, with ornate scroll-work and dragon vignettes flanking the central arms.

备注

Nicaragua's 1992 currency series was issued in the immediate aftermath of the hyperinflationary collapse of the Córdoba, which had depreciated so catastrophically through the late 1980s that the government introduced a new Córdoba in 1988 at 1,000:1, then was forced to redenominate again in 1991 at 5,000,000:1. This note belongs to that second reconstituted currency — the Córdoba Oro — issued once the Chamorro government had stabilized the monetary system following the Sandinista period.

Thomas De La Rue's involvement signaled a deliberate break from domestic printing arrangements that had contributed to inflationary overproduction under the prior regime.
