Obverse description The Chiremba Balancing Rocks of Matopos National Park form the central vignette, rendered in multicolour intaglio print. The Zimbabwe Bird appears at upper right in colour-shifting optically variable ink. Guilloche underprint patterns fill the note face, with the denomination numeral 100 repeated across the design field.

Reverse description The conical tower of the Great Enclosure at the Ruins of Great Zimbabwe near Masvingo occupies the central vignette, accompanied by a secondary vignette of palm trees from the National Herbarium and Botanic Garden in Avondale, Harare.
