| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a multicolour guilloche underprint in gold, yellow, and green tones with geometric and traditional Melanesian motifs along the borders. At centre-left, a large oval security device incorporates a stylised bird-of-paradise vignette, while to the right the national coat of arms is rendered in intaglio, accompanied by the motto scroll reading TO·LEAD·IS·TO·SERVE. Two facsimile signatures appear below the central legal tender inscription, attributed to the Governor of the Central Bank and the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, with large numerals '100' in colour-shifting ink at lower left and lower right. |
